Jonathan Capps is a glassblower and art educator based in Columbus, OH. Capps earned his Bachelor of Arts from Centre College in 2005 and his Master of Fine Arts from The Ohio State University in 2016. He was awarded a U.S. Fullbright Arts Grant to spend a year in Finland researching Finnish glass and design. As an Alumni Ambassador to the Fulbright program, Capps continues to engage in outreach and recruitment for both the U.S. State Department's International Institute of Education (IIE), and Finland’s National Fulbright Foundation. Currently, Capps teaches glass in the Department of Art at The Ohio State University.
Capp's work is held in the permanent collection of the Finnish Glass Museum and the Prykäri Glass Museum in addition to private collections.
